Permission was given for Floral Splendour (GB) to be led to post wearing a red hood.
The Stewards held an enquiry into the riding by Andrew Mullen of Floral Splendour (GB), which having jumped from the stalls was detached and eased from the other runners to complete at a steady pace.
They interviewed the rider and reviewed footage of the race.
Mullen explained that the saddle had slipped on route to post before being refitted prior to the race.
Mullen further explained that very shortly having jumped from the stalls he felt movement again in the saddle and felt it was necessary to ease the gelding to prevent the saddle moving more for safety reasons.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing showed no abnormalities.
Having heard the evidence, the matter was forwarded to the head office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, Amie Waugh reported that Cuban Rock (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
