The Raceday Stewards fined Michael John O'Connor, trainer, €65 for failing fit the declared cheekpieces to Nice To Meet, prior to entering the parade ring

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after jumping the last involving All Hell Let Loose, ridden by Mr D.T. Hyde, Rust To Riches, ridden by Mr D. McGill, and Getawayrooney, ridden by Mr A.T. Feeney where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Mr. D. McGill stated that he had to switch when receiving interference from his inside. Mr. A.T. Feeney stated that he was maintaining a straight line when he received pressure from his inside when his mount clipped a heel and stumbled

Mr. D.T. Hyde stated that he was aware his mount was drifting and didn't act quick enough to keep his line

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. D.T. Hyde, was in breach of Rule 214(carless riding) and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards cautioned Mr. D.T. Hyde on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards received a complaint from Ms Nicola O'Connor, IHRB Veterinary Officer, that All Hell Let Loose was attended to by a member of the owners family post race to staple a wound in the stable yard, this being an Act of Veterinary medicine that could only be carried out in the stable yard by the Racecourse Veterinary Surgeon. Ms Carolyn Hyde, Veterinary Surgeon, stated that All Hell Let Loose was a fourteen year old family pet having his final race and was noted to have a wound over his knee post race. She added that she washed and stapled the wound and was preparing to administer Gentamycin and Penicillin when her participation was noted

She apologised for her actions and said that it was an oversight on her part. She confirmed her acceptance of the report submitted by Ms Nicola O'Connor, IHRB Veterinary Officer. Tim Hyde, Authorised representative of T.E

Hyde, trainer, stated that the treatment was an act in the best interests of the horse. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards referred this matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation. Furthermore they ordered that samples be taken from All Hell Let Loose for analysis
