I was expecting him to run well but thought he might have needed it because he hasn't ran since May. We had a little job done with him in May and it seems to have worked. He had been working well at home and we were very happy with him although he is a horse who carries a little bit of condition so can be deceiving. Oliver (Barden, owner) actually mentioned to me today that he was looking on the heavier side but I was happy with him. He is quite gross and always carries a bit of condition. He has been hugely disappointing and has been second and placed I don't know how many times. He was always beaten by good horses on the day.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the straight involving Kitty Galore, ridden by S. Fitzgerald, where it appeared a number of horses got tight on the rail as this horse dropped back. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-109
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs
