Journey Of Life (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final half furlong when Aplomb (IRE), placed second, ridden by Colm O’Donogue, interfered with Tinto (GB), placed third, ridden by Robert Havlin.
It was found that the interference was accidental as Aplomb (IRE) had ducked quickly left-handed away from the whip before being corrected by the rider, taking Tinto (GB) marginally off its intended line.
Shorter Skirt (GB), placed sixth, jumped right-handed leaving the stalls interfering with Journey Of Life (GB), unplaced.
In addition, Welcoming (FR), placed eighth, jumped right-handed leaving the stalls, interfering with Fly The Nest (IRE), unplaced, which in turn interfered with Champion Brogie (IRE), placed seventh.
After viewing a recording of both incidents, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Adam Kirby reported that Welcoming (FR), placed eighth, jumped right-handed leaving the stalls.
