FormscanBy Tom Weekes - A chance is taken that IRON ALLEN might return to form, as he could be well suited by today's conditions. Winner of a soft-ground unplaced horses' maiden at Naas last December, the ex winning point-to-pointer remains somewhat unexposed over staying distances and while he has top weight, contests a winnable handicap for new connections, under an experienced 5lb claimer. In theory Temptationinmilan is well handicapped in this sphere as he is rated 108 over fences but is a 13-race hurdles' maiden although, importantly, has form on testing ground so should compete. Technology ran well on his Irish debut in August but has been well beaten in three previous UK runs on testing ground.

He has been very consistent. Philip was a bit upset after getting unseated at Leopardstown and that makes up for it. He's inclined to come up very early, he's not great to go in and pop. He's inclined to stand off too much. It's either a feast or a famine, we haven't much for a while now. I don't think I've anything entered this week. He still has a mark over hurdles so he could go back over hurdles.

That's my first winner, my dad (Tony) used to train years ago and had a good few winners. It's a hobby for us and my son Billy is doing most of the work with them,. I've had the licence for two years and we've six in at the moment. We're delighted with her, we knew she had lots of ability. She had shown it at home, all the time, but fillies can be very tricky and you never know when you have them right. Philly gave her a great ride. She likes to be in front and she got an opportunity today when she was let go there and nothing came up to push her too hard. We'll look for the same again and see how she goes. She was much more relaxed today, she normally gets very wired before races.

He wasn't registered as a foal and had to get re-registered as a six-year-old. His owner (Gerard Murphy) just decided to register him as he was worth trying. He didn't run until he was seven but he had no problem and is very sound. He does everything very well always. Even though he is nine, he hasn't that many mile son the clock and he is a fresh enough horse. I'm not sure where he'll go but he goes on soft ground so he'll be kept going for the winter. I don't know about fences but we'll try and get as much as we can over hurdles first.
