After race at Roscommon Tue, 22nd Aug, 2023 (1st)
he's been a great servant and that's eight he has won now for us. Last April I didn't know whether we were ever going to get him back to win a race but he's come back fine. If he's claimed he's claimed, he's eight years of age now and we bought him for five grand, and he has won eight races for us. he was well in at the weights, I only put him in for eight grand because he has a few issues. The plan was to keep it simple, follow Magnetic North and hit him with one run. Cian is coming on nicely and his claim is handy in those races.

we're getting spoilt with these winners! . We won the last race at Down Royal yesterday and while Roy (Collins, Khafaaq's owner) is actually from Down Royal, wasn't there yesterday as he was driving a digger. He is staying down here this weekend so we're delighted for him. Khafaaq seems rejuvenated and he ran a cracker in a claimer the last day when he was in to be claimed for €8,000 but fortunately he wasn't bought.

he is a serious horse to work at home and Johnny Sullivan and Dessie Cummings told me to buy him out of Kevin Prendergast's and we bought him for five grand. We beat his previous owner - Hamdan Al Maktoum.

That was badly needed. He probably wasn’t liking the ground that heavy but we saw it as a winnable race.

After race at Dundalk Fri, 8th Nov, 2019 (1st)
It's a good nights work. I thought the two of them had good chances and it worked out well, it doesn't always work out,. He's a horse we always thought wanted soft ground. We fancied him in the Curragh but the ground was a bit deep for him, he does like a dig in it but seems to handle this and we'll keep going for the winter. He gave him a great ride. I was hoping we would have these two for Andrew before the championship finished but it just didn't work out. We held him up a bit the last day over a mile and he kind of sulked a bit so that's why we decided to go a bit more forward tonight. We'll keep him to seven furlongs or a mile.

After race at Gowran Park Sun, 5th May, 2019 (1st)
The ground is probably as quick as he'd want it, he wants soft ground so it's grand to win a race. A couple of lads in Kevin Prendergast's told me he was going to the sales so we bought him for £5,000. They said he was a nice horse but he had his problems. The reason we ran him so quick was because I thought we'd get a bit more for finishing second the last day in Limerick. We only got 2lb so we took our chance. He does want soft ground so we'll wait. He's a replacement for Dinkum Diamond, who is retired now. He cost €240,000 at the Orby as a yearling. The lads liked him in Prendergast's and Chris Hayes was complimentary. They said he's a nice horse but wants soft ground. We've a race won now for the lads so we can wait a while and see how we go. If we have a wet summer we could have good fun.
