Dragon Roll (7/1) bridged a four years and two months gap between her debut win and second success today, as Eamonn O'Connell's mare landed Dundalk's Harrison Contracts NI Apprentice Handicap (DIV II) under Mikey Sheehy.
A winner on debut for Jessica Harrington in July 2018, the six year old has shown a return to form in recent times and today scored comfortably from Khafaaq
Cullen, Co Tipperary based O'Connell, whose Powerstation was a standing dish at Cheltenham festivals from 2006-11, said “she had a lot of problems but we got her back and we'll keep going with her here, as Mikey said she enjoyed that surface.
“She was hurt for a while and then had a few other little bits and pieces that held us up but she's sound and everything is good now. Hopefully she'll be alright in the morning and we'll go again.
“She had one run over hurdles so we might jump a hurdle again with her.”
