Formscan By Gary Carson - LAURINA has obviously been pulled up on her last two outings and the fact that she bled at Leopardstown is a worrying development. Hopefully this can serve as a confidence booster now. She was a leading contender for the Champion Hurdle after winning this last year, going on to finish fourth in that race, and is a top-class performer on her day. On ratings she'd be clear best in this and back over the smaller obstacles she may not have to come under too much pressure to land the spoils. Stable-mate Elfile (rated 142) has to give weight to the field here. She was put in her place by Stormy Ireland at Leopardstown over Christmas and would have a fair bit to find to match Laurina at anywhere near her best. Black Tears looks to emerge best of the rest at the weights. She gets a 6lb pull from Elfile and is rated just a pound inferior. Gordon Elliott's charge comes into the race in fine form having won a competitive handicap at the Dublin Racing festival and she could be the one to chase home the hotpot.
