The Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Jack Venturi, ridden by Mr J.L
Gleeson, Pickanumber, ridden by Mr J.P. Murray, Spanish John, ridden by Mr S. Cavanagh, and Spitalfield, ridden by Mr B. O'Neill, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Mr J.P. Murray, stated that his mount was very green when going through a gap and caused unintentional interference. Mr. S. Cavanagh, stated that he moved left off heels, as the horse in front of him was going backwards. Mr B. O'Neill, stated that he had to check, when he got tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise Mr. J.P. Murray to ride with more awareness in future
