The Stewards noted that Gavin Sheehan, the rider of Drumlee Watar (IRE), placed second, appeared to strike the gelding behind the saddle with his hand, having dropped his whip after the second-last hurdle.
Sheehan was reminded of his responsibility under Rule (D)2 that he should not strike a horse in any way except for proper use of the whip whilst riding.
