Going - Heavy (Heavy all over after 2nd race). Raining
Montan strongest in opener
I don't know where we'll go with him. We'll just keep him to handicap hurdles,.
Hughies makes best of way home
He loves the ground. He'll stay hurdling this year and next year we'll go chasing with him,. He jumps very well. He's tough and genuine and is a lovely horse.
Vindecy storms to Weatherbys success
I came here because there was no two-and-a-half mile winners races about except for Graded contests,. There is a Grade 2 race over two-and-a-half mile at Thurles for him. Hopefully he might be good enough as he has improved a bit. Last time he didn't like it at Limerick. He's a good jumper but made a very bad mistake at one of the easyfix hurdles.
Emma leaves it late
She had to work hard. The pacemaker gave her a good lead and I'd say that helped,. That's the first winner out of the mare, who was a pretty useful sort. She has bred a lot of animals but none of them any good. We'll try and have a go at another one. It looked an ordinary contest and it's just good to get a win with her. We might give her a run on the Flat later on, around somewhere like Downpatrick.
Mick claims eventful chase
I'm not sure where we will go. I'll look for a little winners of one or a handicap,. We'll play it by ear with him and not aim for anything too big.
Heskin partners first chase winner
McBratney saddles one-two in bumper
They are two lovely horses. The winner Sole Witness is a proper horse,. He goes on better ground and was second in a bumper on better. He was also fourth over hurdles and was behind Montan then, who won the first today. He will have a rest now and go for a novice hurdle at Perth in early May. The other horse is gorgeous but may be a horse that needs a bit of time. He's young and got a bit tired in the finish. We'll try and win a bumper with him in six or eight weeks time.
