An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the final bend involving Hot To Dot (GB), unplaced, ridden by Connor Beasley, Laurens Dream (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Billy Garritty and Eye On The Prize (GB), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane.
The interference was found to be accidental as when rounding the bend, Hot To Dot (GB) lost its back end, moving quickly left-handed as a result which moved Laurens Dream (GB) off its intended racing line and in doing so, hampered Eye On The Prize (GB).
Approaching the final furlong, Genbu (GB) hung quickly right-handed turning the hind quarters of Maywedance (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Genbu (GB).
Approaching ½ furlong out, Genbu (GB), placed second, hung right-handed despite the riders’ best efforts to correct the colt, causing the rider of a weakening Maywedance (IRE), unplaced, to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Genbu (GB).
