Declan Queally rides first winner since losing claim
That was brilliant. It's brilliant for her owner Dr Brid Corkery who is from Glanmire, just outside Cork City. She has been breeding horses and this is her first winner. She can't watch them when they are running but I'd say she will be delighted now with all her grandchildren. She will probably stay further than that. We might leave her out now in the field for a few weeks to strengthen up. We might send her home then and bring her back for an autumn campaign.

Winning 'spare' for O'Regan on Quaker Island
I'm delighted for his owner Gerry O'Dowd who is a good supporter of the yard and he has a good few horses with me. It's unfortunate for Kevin (Sexton). I wasn't chatting to him but he has a suspected leg injury and is gone to hospital in Waterford. This horse will step into handicap company now and I think Gerry will have good fun with him during the summer.
Ryans get a winning tune out of Dedanann
That was a long time coming. He has found every excuse not to win. He has just always found one or two too good. I'd say he liked the ground today and Trevor gave him a very good ride. He is a good chap and his father is my first cousin.
Gin On Lime doesn't sparkle but gets job done
Deserved win for Carried & O'Callaghan
Progressive Samurai puts his rivals to the sword
He seems to be improving. His owner (Eoin Barry) is a good man and is based in Boston. He got a fall in Thurles earlier in the year and it didn't help him. It took a long time for him to come someway right. All the horses at home seem to have come into form lately.
Dual banks winner completes hat-trick on handicap bow
I'm delighted. He would be better over an extra mile. Barry gave him a really good ride. Rightback Atya (stable companion) took him along at a right good gallop and he probably just wants the ground a little bit softer, but it helped Banjo anyway. He needs every yard of three mile one. We could do with another half mile but there just aren't races like that here. I'll speak to John (Walsh, owner) and Barry and see if there are any three and a half mile chases in the UK. Some of the lower grade ones would be worth looking at. I think he'd be so much better with an extra half a mile in front of him. It's up to the Walshs though, whatever they want to do. Today was his first handicap and he was only running off of 81. He loves the bit of good ground and the further the better. I guess his last two outings over the banks didn't do his head any harm either.
