Jane's sire Bungle scores with 1st Irish runner
She's a sharp little filly and has tons of boot,. She loves that surface and needs a good surface as she doesn't bend the knee at all. She's so relaxed and walking around the parade ring you'd wonder if she's asleep or what. She's certainly a very sharp little divil. We'll take our time with her and see where we go but the obvious race would be the Rochestown Stakes over five furlongs. That'll be ground dependent too and we won't be rushing as we have all summer. She was very professional and she's very fast. She's no nonsense and the easiest little divil in the yard to handle. Billy said he should have sat longer because she quickened again when the filly came to her. Sure they are little babies all running around the place but she's very sharp. Thank-god to get off the board.
Classy Now You're Talking justifies very short price
She did it nicely. I got there plenty early on her but I just had to take the gap when it was there,. She'll improve plenty for that and it's nice to get her started for the year. She was a steering job there. She's a sprinter, she's not going to stay a mile, it'll be five or six furlongs.
Oneoveryou "in a wonderful frame of mind"
She looked like she took a step forward from the last day,. Chris was delighted with her and just kept it simple. We're very lucky and grateful to have her. Michael and Bridie O'Dea are unbelievably fond of her and will get a great kick out of that. She might be capable now of stepping into one of those high value handicaps. The Rockingham is there but that's maybe a little bit far away and we might need to find something a bit sooner because she's in a wonderful frame of mind. She's very straight-forward to train and if there was something obvious and worthwhile in three weeks time we'll try and find it. We might even travel with her. That was a big performance tonight. I couldn't believe after her run the last day that 19 days later there was an 85 handicap and I was like 'this is perfect'. There was literally not one thing different to the last time with Chris, drawn one and all the same opponents. We just felt as if all our ducks were in a row today and they were, probably more than I expected. We put the tongue-tie back on her. The reason I ran her without the last day is that I like to run them all with a blank slate. Chris felt she would benefit from it but I don't think you could put it all down to the tongue-tie. She seems to have just naturally come forward.
Harvest for Hayes with Dundalk brace
One runner one winner at Dundalk for Prescott and McDonogh
2 from 3 for Nam at Dundalk
78/1 Dundalk treble for Chris Hayes
He's been running well enough. He got a run on Robbie the last day when he just broke too well and Chris did well to get him settled tonight,. Hopefully there will be another day in him. He missed a year, when he was off with a leg injury, but touch wood it all seems to be good now and we'll keep him going.
