Lee leads in championship cliffhanger
I was very concerned about the ground being heavy as her form was on good to firm. The fresh strip of ground made up our mind to run her. She missed a lot of the season with a splint and we’ll put her away now and start back next season. She’s a big filly, has filled into her frame since June and hopefully there will be a bit more to come from her next year. Her owner (Stacey Fitzgibbon) enjoys racing and we’ll probably hang onto her.

'Lovable' lead horse rolls back the years
at home we use him as a lead horse and he will lead Insinuendo for the next couple of weeks before she goes out to Bahrain. He does great work in the yard and is there eight years - he’s a lovable auld devil, runs away with people up the gallop and does his own thing. Nathan has to get the credit because he told me to leave the blinkers off him. I said we’ll go up the far side like Billy (Lee) did on Are We Dreaming (stablemate, in early October), on the bit of fresh ground. I loved the way he fought back the last 50 yards and there is life in the old dog yet. He might run again Sunday week and will definitely be leading two-year-olds at the start of next year.

Rango gives Rutledge a first Curragh win
he ran a bit keen here the last day but he’s tough and loves the ground. He’s very gutsy and he’ll probably jump a hurdle as he handles that ground so well. Tom Harney works for Ross and Tom's uncles own the horse so it’s a bit of a family thing. Tom is going out with Siobhan so it couldn’t be more in-house and that’s Siobhan’s first winner at the Curragh.
'Win and hopefully we'll get in' - Lawlor's November plan
she is now up to 1m6f having started racing at seven furlongs and brought her here because we have an entry for the November Handicap. I wanted to get her up in the ratings to get in. She travels well and once she settles, she has the speed at the end and Dan gave her a tremendous ride. I’m delighted and hopefully we’ll get into the November Handicap now.
Zoff gets owners off the mark
I’m delighted for the boys and it’s their first winner and their first horse. She has always been a bit keen in her races and the hood on her today helped to relax her. She was drawn wide and with a bit of space didn’t get as lit up. It helped her get home. She could go to Dundalk and will go on any ground.
Cheltenham festival winner bags Student Derby
it was a bit of fun and nice to do it with a few college pals. She (Global Equity) was favourite for a reason and everything went to plan and she got the job done. I was out for three months during the summer as things began to go well, but that’s the ups and downs of the game.Hopefully we can get a winner over jumps soon and just get back into the routine of it. I’m studying Accountancy and Finance in UL (University of Limerick) and I’m in my final year.
