Due to its known unruly behaviour, permission was given for Cannie Lad (GB) to be mounted in the stable yard.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Cannie Lad (GB) which had unseated its rider on the way to post, proved very reluctant to be mounted when down at the start and was subsequently withdrawn.
Milton Harris was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also been withdrawn when unruly at Plumpton on 16 December 2019, Harris was informed that any future similar behaviour from Cannie Lad (GB) may result in the gelding being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Tom Bellamy reported that The Hotelier (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Minella Beat (IRE), which started second favourite and was pulled up, had bled from the nose.
