Winning debut for Roaring Gallagher
he's a grand horse, very laid-back, he had been doing everything right and Joseph liked him at home. Declan (McDonogh) said he travelled well but said he hated this track and said there's a hell of a lot of improvement in him. He's a big horse with a big, long stride. Joseph has sent here over the years like Tosen Lydia and Pretty Gorgeous to win and I'm not saying he's there yet, but I think he could be very good. Joseph thinks very highly of him and it would be no surprise to see him going for black-type race next time. He's definitely good enough.
Smile Of Love wins maiden by 10 lengths
her two-year-old maiden form has worked out brilliantly and she showed a bit of quality there.
Veteran rewards McAuley's courage
he was a right old servant for us and I think he won about 25 grand for us (when trained by Hogan). He was beaten in a claimer one day and we were surprised they gave €12,000 for him but he did a good job for Sean Byrne as well. When we saw him back in a claimer, we thought he owes us nothing and took a punt on him. Colin (Keane) has been adamant that his turn was coming even though his finishing position didn't really suggest it. we tried to ride him handier today, they went a good pace and it worked out. He owes us nothing - we only gave five grand for him (in July) so he has paid himself back today already. sHe won up in Dundalk for us so we will definitely chance it again and if he doesn't handle it, we will give him the time off.
Horse from nightmare road incident wins at Bellewstown
he has never run a bad race up here and this is the only track where he gets a mile. He has been a really good servant who works miles better than he runs at the track but he's even a joy to have around the place. We are less than 10 minutes down the road and, in every aspect, we like coming up here. If they run badly you don't have too long to wallow in the journey home!
Flame Of Eire completes handicap hat-trick
we fancied her in Tipperary in her first handicap but she ran a stinker for some reason and then won in Limerick. She seems to be getting better and I think she will be a nice four-year-old. Hopefully she goes on to better things, we'll give her another run this year and that will be it. It is great for the Harneys as they bred her and they have the dam and maybe she could run in the Lincoln next year.

Monas Melody wins Bellewstown finale
we knew the Galway run was too bad to be true - we knew something was wrong. The ground was a bit slower and today she liked the ground, although she isn't totally ground-dependent. Derek won a bumper on her in Punchestown and got her home nicely. We are delighted with that, she did that very well.
