An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after jumping the last hurdle, involving the winner, Hermino Aa (FR), ridden by Jamie Moore and Georges Saint (FR), placed third, ridden by Charlie Deutsch.
The interference was found to be accidental as Hermino Aa (FR), shifted sharply right-handed before being corrected by Moore which caused Deutsch to take a check.
Following the race, Jamie Moore reported that the winner, Hermino Aa (FR), hung right-handed in the closing stages and the Veterinary Officer reported that Hauraki Gulf (GB), placed second, lost its right-fore shoe.
