Dinky makes her money back
She has a good pedigree and she might win a nursery somewhere along the line. I'd say that wasn't the strongest of races,. She'll keep on the go and might be a Dundalk filly, even though she likes a little cut. She's a half-sister to Danz Gift, who loves Dundalk, so we'll give it a try before the year is out. I bought her as a foal for €3,000 so she's made her money back now.
Noivado "a great pick me up" for Jones
It's a great pick me up for Sean (Jones, owner) after the big horse (Psychedelic Funk) getting hurt this morning,. We ran here as it qualifies him for the €100,000 auction final. That's not to be sniffed at and he's after getting another €10,000 bonus there. I can't wait to step him up to seven but he's just not there yet. When I did step him up to seven you could see he wasn't mature enough for it but he came back and won over six. He wasn't fast enough for the real six horses the last day. He bumped into one and just ran out of green grass. We'll train him now, stick to the plan and he'll take his chance back here in the auction final. It's nice to have a horse of that calibre in it. He''s a nice horse and it was a good honest performance.
Courage fires in a win at 6th attempt
2 in 9 days for Divine
That was super. She's a tough mare and she's probably even improving,. She's been busy all year and done nothing but improve. She's taken a fair bit of racing and she's done it well. We'll see how she is but we'd have to look at the Birdcatcher now. It gives her about four weeks. If she's well we might hold on for that. That's great. She has a good pedigree and can improve again hopefully. I was disappointed for Seamie in Listowel as he missed the ride on her. His assistance worked today and he's a big asset on board. The owners are good supporters. The horses are all running well so happy days.
Doctor impresses for Lyons/Keane brace
I was a bit worried about the mile but Colin was adamant all the way that it would be grand,. He's a nice horse and we bought him off a lad who works for me, Charlie Green. He breezed him in Doncaster and we bought him off him on his recommendation, so credit to him. We bought Reckless Endeavour off Colin last year and this lad off Charlie this year. It's good for them and we'll go back and shop with him again. That's great. It's important to keep the two-year-olds running. Colin said he was very green so we'll just go home with him and there will be no rush.
Stack's Legend lasts it out in the nursery
Lyons and Keane dominant at Naas
It's been a good day's work - we'll take that,. I ran two nice horses and the two of them ran well to finish first and fourth. The fourth is a lovely horse - a half-brother to Ainippe. I'm delighted with that. It's seldom that happens so what's seldom is wonderful. We like him (the winner). Colin was saying about sticking to the trip. We don't need to go again this year with any of them so we'll go home and see how they all come out of today's work before we decide what we are doing with them. The owners, the O'Callaghan's of Yeomanstown Stud, are sellers. If they stay with me, great. It's the second one they've given me, the other one being Endless Drama, so he has big shoes to fill.
