95-rated Yuften wins Dundalk's opening claimer
we bought him for 7,500gns a couple of weeks ago. He was a good buy and he might be a good claim for someone. I'd say he has plenty of problems. It's grand and he won well. It's good profit in a couple of weeks. He's a nice horse but you don't know how he's going to be in the morning. There will probably be plenty of claims in for him and we'll probably put in one or two ourselves. He's getting old and as you get older you don't get any sprightlier!
Footsteps gains first win on the sand
she did it well and she's been improving with every run. She's taken time to come to hand but she's starting to fulfil her promise now. She went down in the stalls in Bellewstown (in August) and she had been very good up until that but just frightened herself and she wouldn't load here the last day (November 9). It wasn't out of badness, she was just thinking about it. It was a bad experience and we couldn't load her into the horse box or anything to get her home from Bellewstown. She should keep improving. She might have one more run and then we'll give her a break as she's been on the go a long time.
McGuinness' 'smart filly' gains second November win
she's smart and I've always liked her and I thought she'd win a maiden when she ran early in the year but she disappointed. I don't know what was wrong with her that day. We knew she had ability and she did that easy. Even riding her at home, after she won here the last day, we knew she had improved. She was slow out the last day but she was smart tonight. She did it well and hopefully the handicapper won't kill her given that it's this time of the year rather than the summer. If someone came looking to buy her she'd be sold and if not she'll come back here and we'll find something similar again for her later in the year. She's a good smart filly and she has a nice page. The boys have been great and I think that's 29 winners we've had for them. They've been great supporters and nearly every horse they've bought they've been very lucky with me. Hopefully it will continue. Rory said she's very good over six (furlongs) and he thinks when she goes up over seven she could be better again.

Lynam and go-to man Sheehy complete Dundalk double
that was brilliant and it's a great night. He's been running good races up here and I think he likes the sand, after Laytown and here. He deserved a win and I thought Danny timed it really well because he has to be placed right on the line. They went a good old clip and he was able to run on at the end. He wouldn't mind the seven (furlongs) either if they went a good clip. It was just the way it was run today but you never know in Dundalk what you are going to get.
Keane's All Star gains fourth career success
he normally gets a bad draw and the draw (2) was probably the key to him tonight. If he gets his own way in front it's a big advantage to him; he's a little bit of a rogue, a bit of a character of a horse. That's three he's won for us now and he's been second about seven or eight times so he's done his job. He's a great fun horse and that's what the boys (Gaeltacht Partnership) have him for, they've got a great stroke out of him. He'll probably come back here on Friday night if he's okay and there is a similar six furlong race in a few weeks. We'll keep him to five and six, he doesn't seem to get any further and he hates the grass. That's his second win here and he's won on the beach.
