Asian Daze obliges under Sheehy
She’s been running consistent and got a lovely ride today from a nice draw. She’d been training good at home, but our two-year-olds seem to need a few runs to click into gear. We’ll see what the handicapper does. She’s not very big, but she’s brave and the owner (Phelim Dolan) is absolutely delighted. He bred her and has a few of his friends involved (Armchair Jockeys Syndicate).

Murphy's stable warming up as Great Blasket strikes
He did that nicely and was tough. We were a little bit worried that the ground would be a bit sharp for him, but Shane said that he travelled around on it nicely and was tough at the end. We’ll probably step up to a mile the next day. The horses are in good form. They were a bit flat about six weeks ago, so we just freshened everything up and are happy with the way they are all going now.
Letiza rewards Feane's faith in Gowran Park
She’s been running well and I thought she might win tonight. I just think she pulled up a bit when she got there, but she won which is the main thing. She’s not a bad filly, but a pair of cheekpieces might help.
Everylittlestep continues her progress for Latta
She took a long time to get it together. She had a little problem with her wind last year and it’s just taken her a bit of time to get her confidence and she’s got it now. She seemed to do it nicely and we might aim a bit higher for some prize money and get in off low weights in a couple of bigger handicaps. There is a couple of fillies' only handicaps coming up and she might just sneak into the bottom of the handicap in those. We’ll see what the handicapper does and, if he’s very hard on her, he might give me no option but to turn her back in the Curragh on Sunday and, if he’s sensible, we’ll wait. She likes a gap between her races, but if he gives me no choice we might just try it and see what happens.
Roche uses his initiative to drive Slamadoor home
Her two runs this year had been okay. She got into a bit of trouble up the straight in Leopardstown the last day which cost her some momentum. She got a lovely clear run today. The plan wasn’t to make it, but she jumped out and they weren’t going that hard so Leigh took the initiative and she braved it out very strong for him. We were aware that they were winning from the front and up the far rail so I said to Leigh to make his challenge where the rail breaks away and go up the inside, but he didn’t have to and had first run. It worked out great for him. She’s an honest little filly and has her grade. She jumps hurdles well, so there is the possibility that we might go hurdling with her.
