Bonaparte justifies favouritism in Naas opener
I'd say that wasn't a bad race. We'll bring her back here for the Swordlestown (Listed Coolmore Stud Fillies Sprint, June 1st) and try and get a bit of black-type. Although that race could be a different kettle of fish. She didn't go back and came forward. I'd say that's the sort of ground she likes and I don't think she'd go on brick hard. Most of the Dark Angels don't and she's from a soft ground family. The grand-dam Rebelline couldn't run unless it was soft.
Round Two impresses on debut
He's very straight-forward and a quick learner. I'm looking on him as a Coventry horse.
Prince keeps punters Happy
I wasn't sure about coming back to six furlongs but he has plenty of speed.
Pleascach blitzes her rivals in the Blue Wind
She's a lovely straight-forward filly and came on a nice bit from Navan. Hopefully she'll keep coming on. I don't think a mile-and-a-half will be a problem. I've always been impressed by her and I've some decisions to make now. Either it'll be back to a mile or up to a mile-and-a-half. The Irish Guineas is a possible and she's in the Ribblesdale. She has many options. She's also in the Irish Oaks. She's in the Epsom Oaks but that wouldn't be certain. She's a long striding filly but maybe her class would get her by. I wouldn't be huge on it at the moment though. The Ribblesdale and the Irish Oaks is probably the most likely route. Lucida will go to Ascot for the Coronation.
Novis completes Bolger/Manning treble
The ground didn't suit last time. He stays well and is a lovely jumping prospect. In time he could probably go to be a 100 horse but that will probably be his job or else a staying horse for Australia.
Bootsandbars in 50/1 shocker
It was definitely a little bit of a surprise but he was working well at home. The step up to a mile-and-a-half was the wrong decision last time. Conor gave him a great ride. Andrew Leigh was riding him at home and had a little confidence in him coming here.
