Murtagh back in winner's enclosure
I was a very worried man when they were left standing in the stalls whilst trying to catch the loose horse. It's very hard to get two year olds to stand quiet. He's been second so many times but in my opinion he's just always come up against something better on the day. The only time I doubted him was when he finished at the Curragh but as it turned out he was beaten by a very good filly of Tommy Stacks. All of my two years have been running well all season and I hope he will make a Group 3 horse in time.
Forbidden City scores for Coogan
It's about time, he's been knocking on the door a few times and it was grand that he won. He was just touched off here the last day he ran. He needs to have top of the ground so he'll either come back here or if the ground dries out we'll run him on the grass.
Lyons records double
The owner Mrs Patino has been with me from the start and I'm delighted she won for her. She breeds all of her own horses and this is the first winner for Big Bad Bob so it was very important that she won. I have a couple more of Big Bad Bob's at home and they are the nicest horses to train and all very honest. She is in a claiming race on Friday at Down Royal and we'll probably head there next.
Lord Kenmare wins again
He did it nicely, we had to run him. We were very lucky he got in as a reserve on Sunday and he only got in today because they divided the race. It took us two years to win a race with him and now we're after winning two races in three days. He went up ten pounds but only had 5 pounds for today. They went good and fast today so there was no problem in dropping him to 7f. We will probably come back here again unless the ground starts drying out.
Manning in form at Dundalk
Lyons still dominates in Dundalk
It's great when they win especially if you expect them to win. He's a good solid horse who needed that and it'll be good for his confidence. It's great that conditions fell into place for us on our favourite track. It looks as if the ground is gone for us everywhere else. This lad needs the top of the ground and he will probably be part of our Dubai team.
Curtis wins aboard Grantsville
That was badly wanted. The horses have been running well but just couldn't get a winner so it was nice to get it. I thought it might have come a bit soon since her last run at Stratford but as it turns out she didn't get much of a race over there. When she's right she's very good but when she comes into season it knocks her out for about 10 days. She travelled great today and looked a winner from a long ways out. A mile and a quarter is her ideal trip and hopefully she'll win again. We schooled her over fences and if the ground stays good we might bring over fences.
