An enquiry was held to consider interference after the final hurdle, involving Ve Day (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Peter Kavanagh; Choirmaster (GB), placed third, ridden by Brian Hughes and the winner, Swift Tuttle (IRE), ridden by Toby Wynne.
Wynne was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his horse to drift left-handed without correction, causing Kavanagh to be short of room which in turn, gave a slight bump to Choirmaster (GB).
The winner Swift Tuttle (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Bangor-on-Dee on 21 August 2023, where the gelding was pulled up.
It was noted that Oliver Greenall could provide no explanation for the performance of the gelding.
Swift Tuttle (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Sean Bowen reported that jumping the second last hurdle, Cumhacht (IRE), placed fourth, was hampered by the fall of Governor Green (IRE).
The Veterinary Officer reported that Ve Day (IRE), placed fifth, lost its right fore shoe.
