I took the decision to put Ian on him here as he's a strong rider and I didn't want him carrying a lot of lead . it's paid dividends. He was in good form coming here . working very well. His last piece of work was very good so we were very positive coming here. Barry Murphy actually sold me the horse. I was looking for one for a syndicate but that broke up when a very nice man lost his job so I took him on. He can be a bit of a monkey at times and it was hard to know his trip. Wayne gave him a copy-book ride and he did exactly what he was told. He can pan out a bit in the middle of his races but he worked with him and we're delighted.

He's in again Sunday at Dundalk . if I have him . hopefully nobody claims him. He's been a super horse for us down the years. He had a lot of leg trouble and he's been to the beach a lot as it helps him . it keeps him sound. Ian gave him a great ride. The sand is a bit slower which helped as they didn't take him off his feet. I'm delighted for Sean Gallagher . that's his first winner at Laytown.

That was great. We were always thinking that this place would suit with there being no stalls in use. She tends to be slow out and that makes it harder for her. This is grand for the syndicate. They're all from Celbridge and they're headed up by Brian Walsh who also bred her. She might go to the Curragh now on Saturday week for a mile handicap.
