The surcingle on Nikhi (GB), placed fifth, trained by Sean Bowen, appeared to come undone shortly after jumping the first hurdle.
After inspection following the race, it was found that the surcingle was in serviceable condition.
The winner Sadie Hill (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Plumpton on 9 April 2023 where the mare finished eighth of thirteen runners, beaten 12½ lengths.
Alastair Ralph’s explanation that the mare preferred a more galloping track on this occasion, was noted.
Sadie Hill (IRE) was routine tested.
The performance of Jane Du Berlais (GB), which was pulled up, was considered.
Ryan Potter could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance on this occasion, other than confirming Lambert's report that the mare stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of Jane Du Berlais (GB), failed to reveal any abnormalities.
