Tornado has Fogartys smiling again
We were a little bit worried about the ground but you'd be happy enough with him after that. He is in again at the weekend but I don't know whether he will run again. He has strengthened up a bit and anything after the last day is a bonus. It was great and it's great to have him.
The Black Russian back in top form
The plan worked and Rachael gave him a dinger of a ride. I knew he would go on soft ground but I was a bit worried when heavy was in the description,. He probably doesn't have the pace for two miles on good ground at his age. He has five won now so we are happy enough with him. He should have won his last two but you couldn't blame Stephen (Gray) either. Things just didn't work out, he jumped off to make it the last day at Kilbeggan but met every bit of traffic. He couldn't get out coming to the second last that day. He might go to Sligo for a chase if it's not too heavy. It doesn't look like it's going to dry out. I just wouldn't like real winter ground with him. I'd stay over hurdles with him but there is nothing really for him. He doesn't run left-handed so that rules out a lot. My dad (Eddie) died five weeks ago so it's nice to get this.
Mahon strikes at Ballinrobe with Statue
Paul was sweet on her. She was fourth here twice before, and in Galway the ground went on her and Paul just looked after her,. You could say it was a bit of surprise as it was competitive looking maiden and she is a handicapper. Ballinrobe is local to me so we just said we'd run her as it was the last meeting of the year and I expected a nice run, but it's a bit of surprise to see her win twelve lengths. She jumps really well and Paul said they went a nice even gallop all the way. She will probably go back to Ballybrit next month for a handicap. Every day you have a winner is a good day and the horses are running well.
No stopping Ryan and Mullins
Kennedy not Bashful about yet another win
I wasn't really expecting that. I thought Michael Winters' horse (Another Rebel) was the one to beat so when he came out it was great,. Jack said he was going to make all and try to get things his own way, and he did. He jumped from fence to fence and he was in great form at home. I honestly didn't think he'd win today, but we'll take it. He won a chase here this day last year and he has been a great little servant, we are delighted. He is lucky little horse for us, he is tough. It's the lads at home that do all the work, it's easy for me to be doing the talking but I've three great lads at home and we are delighted if we get a few winners. We might go to Navan on Saturday for a hurdle race. He might just go there for a bit of nicer ground. You can't beat an honest horse who jumps well. It's great for Paul (Mullins) who has been a lucky owner for us. This horse lives outside. It's the only place that suits him, he can't be inside. He is like a goat, he is healthy.
Moss Grove comes good again at right time
He is after running a couple of times for us but he just seems to have come right all of a sudden,. We are thinking of the head of the syndicate, Henry Wall, who passed away about a month ago. He bred the horse along with Ed Kenneally. Some of the syndicate came racing for the first time today, since we got him, so it's after doing the trick! He will go for more of them now, he is in nice and light and he enjoyed himself today.
Listen - Dear can certainly jump
