Permission was given for Bomb Proof (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the final furlong when Zapper Cass (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Rossa Ryan, interfered with Grandfather Tom (GB), placed fifth, ridden by David Egan.
Ryan was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount, which had already shown a tendency to shift right-handed after two hits, to shift quickly right-handed after a third hit, causing Grandfather Tom (GB) to be tight for room and checked by Egan.
Inside the final furlong Invincible Larne (IRE), placed second, in going for a legitimate gap, switched leads and became unbalanced causing it to make contact with Zapper Cass (FR), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Invincible Larne (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Han Solo Berger (IRE), placed seventh, had lost both front shoes.
