Dinnie's Vinnie scores for Dempseys
That was great and I'm delighted for him. The Fairyhouse run (last time) was desperate but the lads (TFC Syndicate) wanted to give him another run and we left everything off him today. I got a fall off him when he ducked out from under me before Fairyhouse and I got a broken wrist over him. He's a funny ould devil and can put in some dreadful runs and I wasn't sure if this was his last chance. The lads were keen to persevere with him and they've got two wins out of him now - he'll go for something similar next.
Capital Force just holds on at 4/9
It was a bit disappointing the last day and he started to tie up a bit again today but I'm delighted he won. At Leopardstown it was on good ground and he'd have won six or eight lengths if the race was over two miles but I'll get him checked out just to make sure. I suppose it was tacky ground today, and I was worried about it coming here. My main thing now is to wait for better ground, and I'd imagine good ground is the key to him.
Corks popping after Classic success
It wasn't the strongest race in the world, and Jack said he was happy with him the whole way. We'll keep it small with him. He's a horse to jump a fence next season, and we'll aim for a winners' of one race next. He's a grand horse who will win his races.
Local success for Hurley with Perfect Man
We were disappointed with him at Naas but Stephen Gray (jockey) said he needed a trip. I didn't think he'd stay the 2m6f on that ground though, as he's only a handy horse. I train only five miles from here in Borrisoleigh and I'm delighted. We'll aim for something similar next.
Connor on cloud Nine with Planet
He's a nice horse but took a while to come to himself. It's Stephen's first winner. He rides very well and gave him a lovely ride. Hopefully it will help him along now. I don't know what we'll do next - there are no plans.
