Alf proves all Right in the opener
He was entitled to win although we were disappointed with him the last day. He probably wants better ground and Barry said that as well. He travelled so well today and we'll see where we go from here. His job is done now.
Improving Nines causes upset
She obviously learned a lot from her first run, and she was very green at Punchestown. We knew she was okay, and she came on from it. We've no real plans and we'll probably go for a similar mares race.
Folsom impresses in Clonmel feature
He takes his races well but he's not over big. If he's going to Cheltenham then he'll go straight there. He's a laid-back horse at home and you wouldn't know how good he was. But he looks a proper horse. I was a bit worried about the ground but he did everything nice and easy and travelled well. He's entered in the Albert Bartlett and he's certainly entitled to an entry at least. It's something to dream about!
Mullins gets an Immediate Response
His jumping was very slick for his first run in a handicap. He broke down badly after his last run, and I've only had him about six weeks. We'll stick to handicapping and he's in at Fairyhouse on Saturday, although I don't like running them so quickly. Running twice so quick with a leg is bad news but we might make an exception with this fella.
Leanne edges out Lad as Club disappoints
She's in some health. We'll have to sit and think about plans. She's entered this day week at Thurles but probably won't run.
Odonimee runs rivals ragged
She jumps very well. You don't need to make the running on her but she needs to be up there in a strongly run two miles. We'll probably look for a mares novice now. She's consistent and tough, and very useful in her own grade.
Georg boosts Festival claims
He's a stronger horse this year. He got lost in that ground last year, and I didn't think he would handle it today. The aim is the Foxhunters at Aintree. If he gets qualified for Cheltenham then he'll go there. We'll certainly try to get him qualified. I didn't think it was possible for a horse of his age to still be improving. They should open up bumpers to ten-year-olds!
