Following concerns raised by the riders at the start regarding the low sun obscuring their vision at all the hurdles in the back straight, the Stewards consulted with the Clerk of the Course and ordered that these obstacles should be bypassed for this race.
Speiriuil (IRE) was kicked by another runner at the start.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the filly was deemed fit to race.
Following the race, Freddie Mitchell reported that Nachtgeist (IRE), which started joint second- favourite and finished unplaced, was never travelling.
