Island lunges late in claimer
Rory said he was either going to be a hero or a villain. He was dropping her out to get her settled and they sort of tied up a bit in front but she stayed on well. We'll try and sell her if we can,. Eamonn Reilly bought her for us in Tatts last year for 5 grand, and she's repaid us thank god. The only thing is I'll have to give some of this money to the wife (Hazel, part owner)!. I'd be struggling without these claimers. It gives you a good chance.
Roosevelt upsets the odds on debut
Happily takes Silver Flash in style
She's lovely and came forward well again. You would have to be delighted with that, and Ryan is very happy with her,. She could go for the Debutante next. I'd say Clemmie will go straight for the Moyglare, and September might go to the Debutante on the way (to the Moyglare). She picked them up very easily. Donnacha loved her the first day and the second time, and I'd say she has jumped again.
Pentagon powers home in Tyros
He learned a lot today. Ryan felt that he was very raw, and it was only when he went past the line that he really got to straighten himself up. He said he went past the line and he took off,. It was good that he had to get out there and teach him a bit. He’s a middle distance horse but not stuck to the ground as we saw at the Curragh. David and Diane Nagle bred him and he’s out of an Aga Khan mare. He could go for the Futurity.
Lordan again leaves it late for 194/1 double
He’s run a couple of very good races doing that, and when we have tried to be a bit more forceful with him it just hasn’t suited him. He likes it when he’s dropped in and given a chance and they go quick. It was a brilliant ride. He will probably go to Galway if he gets in.
Belgravia makes it four for Ballydoyle
A mile and six might have been stretching him a bit (last time) and back to a mile and a half he was a little bit better,. Because he’s lazy you think he’s going to stay. Donnacha gave him a peach and he’s hard to just drop on the line.
Star gains first win on grass
It’s great to get him over the line for Rita (Shah, owner), and it’s great that she is here,. He bumped into one too good on his last run in Dundalk, and I thought it was going to be the same again this evening but Kevin was very strong in the finish. We got the rail which helped him along as well. He was a cheap purchase and has never been out of the first five for me and won twice out of 11 runs. He might have a little break and aim him back at Dundalk. We’ll see how he comes out of it.
