McCreery & Lee on the mark with Radiantly
She ran grand the first day but was drawn 13 of 13 at Leopardstown and flew home. She was a bit antsy in the stalls then and we put a sheet on her today. I had been waiting for her all year but always thought she's be a better filly next year and was thinking about not running her this year.
Taisce beats the boys in valuable Nursery
Tested does it again in the Fairy Bridge
We felt if she reproduced her win last year that it would be more than enough and she got the job done well. She has always been very classy but seems to prefer Tipperary to Ballybrit (beaten at Galway twice)! . I'm not sure where she'll go next, Dad will talk to Lord Grimthorpe (racing manager for owner Prince Khalid Abdullah). This will be her final season.
Weld & Smullen combine for Tipperary double
that was an important win as she will make a lovely broodmare prospect and it was important to get that winning bracket beside her name. There were very few opportunities on slow ground at times this year and some days she was running on ground that was quicker than ideal.
Murphy's horses lead home Tipperary 1-2-3
she broke well, handled the ground well and while she had been out of form recently, had bits of form. That's my sixth winner.
Leonard gets off the mark aboard Intent
He's made all of glass and has had plenty problems. He's also a bit quirky and I've to lead him into the stalls myself. A lot of credit must go to Wayne Lordan who rode him first time out this year and made a man out of him.
Tadem completes a treble for Weld & Smullen
In fairness he's always been a decent horse but has been jumping and found it (the pace) a bit of a shock to the system as they went a fair clip. He'll go to Listowel for a hurdle next.
