STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 4) Permission was given for Niceandeasy (IRE) to be mounted on the track and go to post early.
The winner Victory Echo (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Carlisle on 8 April 2023, where the gelding finished seventh of eleven beaten 30 lengths.
It was noted that Maurice Barnes could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Victory Echo (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Bruce Lynn reported that Niceandeasy (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination found the gelding to have spread its left hind shoe.
