The ground is a huge thing for him and he was wrong the last day he ran when he ran terrible. His jumping was worth 10 lengths to him and, while he ran in a heap of point to points, he doesn't stay three miles. We might look for a handicap next.

He was probably lucky but Andrew still thinks he wasn't done with and might have stayed on for second. He got a nice round of jumping there and stays very well. We'll look for a winners of one on a bit of nice ground over a trip. We'll keep going for another bit but he won't race during the height of summer.

Champagne hurdle performance by Harmony

Stupidly I ran him at Navan with a view to then running in the Cheltenham Bumper but he pulled muscles and was lame behind for two weeks and that's why he has been missing since. If he had run at Cheltenham, he'd have put it up to them but the reason I've gone over hurdles is that I'd be happier with a fence in front of him and he'll go chasing next season. He never had a schooling hurdle before today but he is an exceptional jumper of a chase fence. He'll have one more run over hurdles, maybe at Punchestown, and will go chasing next season. I'd nearly take out my license again and get my weight back down to ride him over fences!

Paddocks beckon for Jennies Jewel

Her form had been seriously franked at Cheltenham with Vroum Vroum Mag and Diamond King and we thought this was another good opportunity to get another win on the board. She has been beaten by so many good horses I'm just delighted to get another with with her and, before she runs next at Punchestown, she'll be covered by Presenting. She's all heart and gets on with the job and it'll be a sad day when she retires. It's been a great four seasons with her.
