Mullins wins opener with Triumph contender
from what I could see he missed out two or three hurdles but he'll gallop all day. The Grade 1 (at Leopardstown, in Feburary) will probably come too soon but he'll be aimed at the Triumph Hurdle.
Cliff House overturns Mullins hot-pot
I had no confidence against Willie's (Royal Caviar) but he'd won two flat races. I've no plans and it was a case of get today out of the way first. He'd like better ground and has a good bit to learn about jumping but has a real good engine.
'Sellotape' holds GalmoyH'dle winner together
he cracked a knee at Fairyhouse in the Hatton's Grace (2013) and was out for a year. He ran well at Christmas, and that brought him on enough and he was able to do himself justice today. He'll get an easy week after this and we'll see how he is in a fortnight's time and take it from there. He'd only run at Cheltenham if the ground was soft.
Grand Annual possible takes his Opportunity
I didn't think he'd stay going as that's the first time he's finished a race on soft ground. He'll go for the Grand Annual at Cheltenham. He's rated 137 in Ireland, so shouldn't be too much higher in England.
Top weight wins Thyestes as Gold Cup awaits
it's fantastic to win the race six times; it took me long enough to win my first one (Micko's Dream in 2000). On His Own won this off top-weight and was only just beaten in a Gold Cup so we'll have to think of going the same way with this horse.
Burke rides out claim with Smashing winner
he jumped great and it was the performance you'd be hoping he'd give. Jonny (Burke) said he was brilliant, and when he gave him a click going to three out he went away.
Thyestes hero completes treble in bumper
he's improved hugely from his last run. He wasn't showing much and only came right just before his last run and he's improved away since. I think he's done enough to get the ticket (to the Cheltenham Bumper).
