Carolobrian takes opener at Clonmel
That was nice for the owner, I'm delighted for him he deserved a bit of luck. We knew she would like the ground but I thought the 4 year old penalty might be against her so we were just hoping. She surprised me but surprised me in a good way. We will review our plans and see what we'll do next.
Smullen/Weld score at Clonmel
American Princess wins again
I didn't think she'd win. She's hard enough to train, she's a terrible worrier and she got a little bit upset before the race and I thought her race was gone at that stage but she's just so honest and genuine. She's in Ballinrobe on Monday but I think it might come a bit too soon for her.
Glenstal Abbey keeps punters happy
He just loves jumping and he'll make a real chaser in time. We will keep him over hurdles for the time being and maybe try pick up a winner's of one for him next.
Burke/Coleman in form at Clonmel
She deserved that, she finished 2nd in two of her bumpers. She needs the soft ground, we ran her on good ground in Fairyhouse and she didn't handle it. I'm delighted for the owners that she won. We will keep her on the go as long as the ground is soft.
Power seen to good effect
It was a brave decision by Eddie to go as early as he did but it paid off, when the other horses came to him he just kept finding more. He probably needs further by right. He will make a lovely chaser in time, we will keep him over hurdles for the being and see what the handicapper does with him before we can make plans.
Call The Police Impresses at Clonmel
I saw he was 33/1 this morning and thought it was very big price so we had to have a bit of it. He is a very nice horse and we think a lot of him. This is my 1st runner for Eamon Duignan and I'm delighted he won for him. He will probably be put away until the Winter now.
