Long time between drinks for Kenneally as Empors Sword obliges
Her mother (Collou) won a bumper in Mallow and this is great. She was a very hard mare to keep right but we eventually got her right and I knew there was a race in her. I'm only a small-time trainer, I only have about three in training and we'll probably look for a handicap next. Darragh (Allen) is my neighbour, is a good friend and his brother Sean helps me out every day - it's great.
First Irish winner for Richie Condon as Fahy's good run continues
He deserved to win as he has been running consistently enough. He used to get very upset going racing whereas he has settled now. I'm delighted for Richie Condon and for the owners Stephen Murphy (Clare) and Seamus Hennessy (Limerick). Stephen (Murphy) got Cillin Leonard ( jump jockey who started with Fahy) going in England and gave him the chance initially and stuck with him. Both Stephen and Seamus are as loyal, and they'd want to be to have a horse like Casamari Abbey as a lot of other lads would have him gone. We'll look for something similar next and Richie (Condon) has broken his duck in Ireland now. Richie is with me six days a week and doesn't know when to stop working; that's hard to see nowadays and he deserves every ride he gets.
Eimear scores for Smith & Donoghue
she stays well, travelled well and jumped brilliantly. I was wary enough turning in - I wanted to let her stride on and didn't want it to turn into a sprint. I probably won too far but I was afraid that one might do her for toe. She is very consistent, wasn't right the last day and Matty has his horses back in good form and there's no better man that Matty to have them ready.
'Giggsxit' horse wins Captain Christy Chase
staying is his game and I struggled to pull him up after the line and he could have gone around again. He jumped brilliantly, put himself right at the second last and was good and quick over it and winged the last and that sealed it. He won well. He mightn't want extremes but a bit of soft ground mightn't be too bad for him.
Rolling Revenge gives McCormack a second winner
I got him off Martin Brassil to teach Cathal (McCormack) in Open Lightweight point to points but it happens he doesn't stay three miles and we asked Martin to see could we run him in handicap chases and they obliged. Cathal is a cousin of mine; I worked for Eddie Cawley for 20 years and Cathal, who is 19, came in the past five years with me and that's his second winner. He is good to ride and is half-thinking about going conditional as he is finding it hard to pick up rides in point to points. The horse did it well, he had a great run the last day and ground is key for him; we'll keep him in for a few weeks but if it goes soft we'll let him off. That's my third winner on the track, I have 14 horses at the minute and they are mixed between the track and point-to-points.
