Western Zara continues good run for Nolan
She would be more at home over a longer trip and maybe easier ground as well. She is a tall, young Westerner mare who would gallop until she'd die. She's a lightly raced filly and we'll see if she runs again this season - it can't be all over yet (ground-wise) so we'll see what happens.
Rothwell & O'Sullivan strike with 25/1 Natural Breeze
That wasn't a surprise, he is a summer horse and the trip suited. I told James I thought we had a good chance and to jump out and be plenty positive on him. We'll step him up in trip as the summer comes along and these little tracks suit him and he could end up in those conditions' chases during the summer. We have young horses now running in handicaps and they are finding a bracket now and competing. I don't have a star horse now and don't have anything to fly the flag so I need these to be winning and there is 18 months gone into these winners. We have been doing the same thing for quite a while but have got rid of a lot of horses which weren't good enough. We are starting with a fresh bunch and are working our way through it.

O'Connor seen to good effect as Springfield follows up
She had a lovely low weight and got a good ride and jumped the last well. Jordan Gainford rode her the last day and today was the first time I've met Mike. Garry Cribbin (agent) told me about him and he could claim 7lbs off. He gave her a peach of a ride. We might call it quits after one more run and look for something similar again in the autumn.
