Permission was given for Another Angel (IRE) to go to post early.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after 2 pieces of interference inside the home straight involving the winner Catesby (GB), ridden by Jonathan Fisher, Bomb Squad (IRE), placed second, ridden by Andrew Mullen, and Youllovemewheniwin (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jason Watson.
In the first incident 1 furlong out, Catesby (GB) had lugged left before being quickly corrected, briefly hampering Bomb Squad (IRE).
In the second incident approaching the ½ furlong marker, Youllovemewheniwin (IRE) edged quickly right before being corrected causing Bomb Squad (IRE) to be severely checked.
The Stewards considered that the interference in both cases was accidental and had not improved the placing of Catesby (GB) as the incident Catesby (GB) was responsible for causing was of a minimal nature over 1 furlong out and did not cost Bomb Squad (IRE) anywhere in the region of the ¾ of a length beaten margin.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Approaching the winning line, Youllovemewheniwin (IRE), placed third, edged slightly left causing Steelriver (IRE), placed fifth, to be short of room.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Youllovemewheniwin (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Starter For Ten (GB), placed fourth, lost its left hind shoe.
Adam Kirby reported that Martineo (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
