Chief Justice settles in quickly with Elliott
That's my first runner for Cheveley Park and Mr and Mrs Thompson, and they have a few horses with me for the season ahead. His previous trainer Richard Fahey kindly recommended him to come to me and it was great to get him.

Townend doubles up on Percy Veer
He ran well at Killarney when he was going to finish second in a good race so stepping back to a maiden today we were always hopeful. He loves that good ground and he is crying out for every yard of three miles. It was his first time running over it but we always felt he wanted it. He got a great ride, a strong ride, from Paul. He's entered for a handicap hurdle on Thursday but he won't run. I love this place and we always try and have a winner here if it is at all possible. The pressure is off now!
Humm Baby brings up Townend treble
Horses for courses. She has been a bit unlucky through the summer and there were days when she should have won but she's not the easiest horse in the world to ride and isn't a young fella's ride. Paul gave her a good ride and said he rode three different races. He said he thought there'd be loads of pace but there wasn't and was then in a pocket. When he got out things were better and it's great to train a winner in Listowel. She'll have a little break now. She's small and light and isn't one you'd pull out quickly and she could run next at Limerick's Munster National meeting. I'll have three more runners for the week. It's the way things are but we're still plugging away at it.
McNamara doubles up with Scorpion in feature
He is a lovely horse and he gave as good an exhibition of jumping around there as any horse has ever given. He jumped absolutely brilliantly and Kevin gave him a great ride. I'm very lucky to get the horse. John Gleeson (previous trainer) has done an awful lot of schooling with him and has made this horse in fairness. I'm just lucky enough to have got him at this time. With the age he is now he is improving away and he'll have no problem getting three miles. He might go for the Munster National and could turn out on Saturday here too. It's not beyond the bounds of possibility. I also wouldn't mind winning another (fourth) Kerry National and he might just be the horse to do it next year.
Scaglietti makes it a treble on the day for Mullins
She is a half-sister to Sesenta who won the Ebor for us and she is only slightly bigger than her. Sesenta was one of the smallest we've ever had. She was very green and did well to win because she had to come quite wide, which wasn't ideal. Often with those small fillies in bumpers, a clear run is worth a lot and I think she'll improve a lot. There is the Listed Mares' Bumper in Gowran and we'll consider that but Willie is in (South) Korea so we'll have to wait and see.
