he (Westerners Son) is a genuine and hardy horse but I thought the ground would be softer than it actually was. We'll see what the handicapper does with him now but I'm also cautious about the ground as he is better when he gets into it.

On His Own wins Cork's Imperial Call Chase
he was well-in at the weights and seemed in good enough form. This was a much lower graded race that the Gold Cup but after Cheltenham, you never know how they are until you run them. He jumped well in front and age isn't catching up with him yet. He might be one for the Grand Steeplechase de Paris, over 3m5f, but I don't know what Willie (Mullins) might have in his head.
