Bargain buy wins for Scott's new syndicate
that is brilliant as they (Seconds To Spare Syndicate) are new owners and she has been lucky for them. They only had her a week before she was third at Listowel and now she has won. There are 10 in the syndicate, mostly from Munster and a friend of mine from Australia took a share as well and she'll be over the moon. My husband (Caolan) organised it, again, and he'll get a job out of this! She was bought for €2,000 so I'm delighted for everyone involved. I'm delighted for Mark (Enright) as well as he's always there when we need him. We'll keep ticking along and might hit Galway with her.
Mazagran wins well on Irish debut
he started in France and we didn't know about the ground for him. We didn't know what to make of him but he looks a big genuine type and hopefully he has a big future. His two wins were in Jebel Ali, that's a tough track with a tough hill and the ground is always deeper there. Shane (Crosse) said he gave him a gorgeous feel the whole way around and felt like he had a lot of speed and stayed on well. He is a lovely big horse, is rated 82 today but definitely has black-type in him somewhere. It is hard to find the races but we might find a Listed or Group race next — he looks an exciting horse.
