Bargain buy Petticoat Rule was the 20/1 winner of the Milford Handicap at Limerick, scoring for new trainer Gillian Scott and jockey Mark Enright.

The Dragon Pulse filly was a gambled Cork winner last September for previous trainer Willie McCreery and today bagged a second win, overhauling front-runner Out On Friday in the final furlong to score by a length and three parts over that rival.

Afterwards Scott, a sister to jockey Bill Lee, stated “that is brilliant as they (Seconds To Spare Syndicate) are new owners and she has been lucky for them. They only had her a week before she was third at Listowel and now she has won.

“There are 10 in the syndicate, mostly from Munster and a friend of mine from Australia took a share as well and she'll be over the moon. My husband (Caolan) organised it, again, and he'll get a job out of this! She was bought for €2,000 so I'm delighted for everyone involved.

"I'm delighted for Mark (Enright) as well as he's always there when we need him.

“We'll keep ticking along and might hit Galway with her.”
