An enquiry was held to consider why Lucinda Egerton was running Middlescence (IRE) here at Huntingdon on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Huntingdon on 21 February 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that when she declared Middlescence (IRE) a non-runner on Good ground here last time, in her opinion, the going was firmer than the official description and that the gelding would be better suited to the ground today.
Following the race, Ross Chapman reported that Gold Fields (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed.
