Chancol gets the job done in the opener
He was a bit leery when he got to the front. He was also like that when he won his bumper, but he jumped well and really he is a chaser for next year. I've never heard of the sire before but this horse has a really good French pedigree and Mags O'Toole told me I had to buy him at the sales. He is still a bit leggy and he will be a better horse next year.
Wicklow enters the Supreme picture
At least that puts the worries I had about him handling the ground the to bed. At the moment it looks like he will go for the Supreme Novices'. He pulled very hard and he got to the front way too soon.
Jetson bounces back to his best
He won the qualifier at Leopardstown two years but then didn't get into the race at Cheltenham. Hopefully he will get into this year.
Easy win for Arvika in the Tied Cottage
He was very, very good, and he was very brave at some of his fences. We decided to let him roll on today, although Special Tiara can go very fast. He fiddled one ditch at the bottom of the hill, but otherwise he was very good. Ruby felt there was plenty in the tank. I reckon we will go to Cheltenham again, probably for the Champion Chase, although I probably have him entered in everything.
Rory beats Shu in the Cross-Country
It's back to brass tax after last week! . The race probably changed when Bishopsfurze went. He is a nice horse for a six-year-old and he was given a great ride again by Nina. He seems to like that ground. Taking on the second horse the next day will be different.
Folsom takes the National Trial for O'Dwyer
It was a great run for his first handicap. He loves that bottomless ground. He jumped super for Bryan, and the spin over two miles around Thurles helped to sharpen him up.
Hairy takes the last for the Roches
His run at Naas was probably good enough. He jumps well and he will go for a maiden hurdle now.
