O'Callaghan off the mark from new yard with Bray
He’s a nice horse and we have always liked him. He’s pulled a shoe quite badly and Colin thinks he might have done it coming out of the gates and that’s why he was just a little bit awkward,. He’s pretty straight forward at home and Colin thought he’ll get an extra furlong. He was quite green and needed the company when he got it. Nicer ground will suited him better. We had him ready to start but thought he’d improve from the run. I had in the back of my mind that he could be a horse for the seven-furlong Guineas Trial at Leopardstown but it might be a bit soon and he could need some time to get over today with the deep ground and everything. I can see him stepping up to that level. It’s nice to get a winner out of the new yard and good to get that out of the way. We have moved near Brannockstown, about 20 minutes from the Curragh. It’s nice and quiet and the horses are relaxed and they appreciate it. We have two gallops and everything we need and with the Curragh not too far away we have the best of both worlds. We are in a month now. It is always going to take a bit of transitioning and take a bit of getting used to the gallops.
Magical Vision relishes conditions to complete hat-trick
She did what I was hoping she would do. She has loads of gears and loves the ground. We’ll probably look for something similar in a couple of weeks because she isn’t going to handle summer ground. Chris gave her a lovely ride and got a lead off Ken Condon’s horse. She’s had her little issues and we’ve just taken our time. She’s very honest and I was delighted to see all the rain. Hopefully she will come on a bit as well.
Square comes good for Slatterys
Chazzesmee continues on a sharp upward curve
He’s improving away the whole time. Those German families often take a bit of time to come to hand. He’s a smart horse. He’s won in Dundalk so he’s fairly versatile ground wise. We might look at a handicap on Guineas weekend.
Paddington set for classic trial after stylish Madrid win
I’m very happy with him. He won very nice the last day and handled an ease in the ground. He probably will stay further. He will go into a Trial now, maybe one of the French trials, to give him more experience.

Jackie Oh looks smart on belated debut
She’s a very well-bred filly and handled the ground. She had a few holds ups last year and didn’t get to run. You would have to be delighted with her. She will go for a Trial and I’d say she will get a bit further as well.
Foley back in winners enclosure with new hip
Shane is the first jockey to ride a winner with a hip replacement! . He had a procedure done the winter before and it didn’t really work on him. He was quite sore last season. Paddy Kenny did the full hip replacement for him and Shane has worked really hard over the past six weeks to get back riding. That is a proper horse and he’ll go for the Derby Trial at Leopardstown. He saw out the race really well today. I think he’ll improve for better ground as well.
