Harrington trains winner for John Magnier
Ides Of August wins on debut
he's a nice horse. They went a nice seven-furlongs there which I don't think they did in the fillies race. He was bred by Maurice (Regan). You might not see him back too quick because he's only a project and he needs to get stronger. He wants every yard of the seven. If they ran that race like they ran the first we would have been in trouble. We won't rush him, you'll see him next over a mile. He's still just a baby.
Controversial Turbine back spinning
it's his first run in a long time but he's been ready to run a while. He was ready to run before the lockdown and we've kept him ticking over - he was ready today. I think the handicapper has given him a chance and along with Joey's claim it's been a huge help to him. He probably was well in today. He probably should have been in the big handicap next weekend but he wouldn't have got into that without winning. There are a couple of options for him and Galway will be on the cards as he's ran well there before. He's a solid horse and he could go back jumping too later in the summer. He'd been getting chinned making the running before and I told Joey only make it if you are getting it easy. He is a good lad, he's able to use his head and figure it out for himself. They all ran well. Big Baby Bull was fourth and Atlas sixth. They are running very well and I couldn't be happier.

Getawiggleon gives trainer Geary first winner
that's my first winner and I've only had a few runners over a period of time. It's a nice day and a nice place to get a winner. I'm a farrier by trade and just have another two-year-old in training, who will start in another two or three weeks. Hopefully I'll maybe get a few more. She's been there or thereabouts. The biggest concern with her is getting her settled. She seems to run her race a bit too early on in the game. She handled the step up to ten well. She had a little bit of form last year but it was patchy. This year she's gotten bigger and stronger. Hopefully she can pick up a few more races along the way. We'll see what mark she gets and make a plan after this. Today was the objective last year but we had to wait a while. Thank God we are here today anyway.
Lieutenant Silver takes the gold
it wasn't really a surprise. He didn't really show us much last year but Mark and Aisling (Gittens, owners) took him home and the credit must go to them because they did a great job with him. He came back to me a different horse this year and his work was good so we thought he'd run well anyway. It's great to get the win out of him. It was probably a very ordinary race and we'll look for something similar. He might even get a bit further. He's schooled at home. We'll see what Mark and Aisling want to do but we might keep him to the Flat and go for a hurdle later on in the year.
Coronation connections win Blue Wind Stakes
I think she deserved that after getting touched off by Silence Please the last day. She's a lovely filly. She's in the Kilboy Stakes and I'd say that will be her next target. He was meant to make the running and as Shane said it was plan Z. It worked out today, maybe that's the way to ride her and we were doing it wrong. Because he said he was going to make the running on her we actually put a soft rubber bit in her as she has a very light mouth. I'd say going down the back, when she was being keen, he was cursing me for doing that but it worked out. She has a real good attitude, she's a lovely progressive filly and will keep stepping forward. It's lovely to get a winner for Craig as that's the first horse we've had for him.
