Rayisa makes all under Foley for Halford
She's a lovely straight-forward filly and we put her experience to use. We popped her out smart and making the running was no bother to her. She very genuine. She could go for a Listed race at the Curragh in October and she'll have no bother stepping up next season.
Newsman gets up close home under King
If you had told me it would be mid-September before I had a two-year-old winner I'd have said you were mad. I thought I had some nice two-year-olds at the start of the year but they all seem to be taking a run and improving. Hopefully now one or two more will hit the board. He's very tough and genuine. He quickened well and it took him a while to pull him up. Hopefully he'll go on to better things. I thought stepping up to a mile would suit him today. I think he's a decent horse and I think he could be a stakes horse. I'd see him as a nice mile-and-a-quarter horse next year and hopefully he'll stay a mile-and-a-half.
Jack does it well in the feature at Gowran
It's great to get her head in front again. She found plenty. We were bringing here back well short of her trip.

Coakley & Doyle on the mark with Annie
She burst a blood vessel in Tipperary but had a nice run here over seven when she didn't get out and met a bit of traffic problems. He gave her a lovely ride. He dropped his whip and I was wondering why he wasn't hitting her but she won nicely. She was only broken as a three-year-old so is a year-and-a-half behind everything. She's a right little filly for the future.

King completes 164/1 Gowran brace on Brown
He won well. He's going to the sales later on and he's an exciting horse - he's a very good horse. We might chance him in the November Handicap at Naas. We like him a lot and things haven't panned out for him. He got too far back the last day and I thought he was unlucky. His brother is a Grade 1 winner in the US and he only got going when he was four. We think he's the same. He's starting to settle and relax in his races and do things the right way.
