The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vyta Du Roc (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at his nostrils post race, possibly as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage. On further examination this gelding was found to be clinically abnormal
Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Square Ball trained by E. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel during this race.
